Our anytimecostumes.com Halloween costumes are measured using the following guidelines. Please follow them when sizing your costumes:
Bust/Chest This measurement is derived by doubling the measurement of a flat garment from armpit to armpit.
Waist This measurement is derived by doubling the measurement of the flat garment from one side of the waist to the other. In cases where there is an elastic waistband, the sizes provided reflect the waist measurement before and after the elastic band has been extended. However, the degree of elasticity is at the manufacturer´s discretion.
Length Tunic/Dress-like Costumes: This measurement is derived by measuring the flat costume from the neckline to the bottom of the garment. In cases where there is more than one piece to a costume, this measurement is taken from the primary piece. You can find the measurements for the secondary pieces listed as shirts and pants in our chart. Top/Bottom Costumes: These costumes contain at least two major pieces. You will find the measurements for both pieces listed under the shirt and pant length/inseam categories (skirt and underskirt length is listed under the pants category). The tops are measured from the shoulder to the bottom of the garment. The bottoms are measured from the waistband to the bottom of the garment.
Torso This measurement is used for jumpsuit costumes only. It is derived by taking the measurement from where the shoulder and neck meet, to the crotch of the garment.
Sleeves This measurement is derived by measuring from the armpit to the end of the sleeve.
Inseam This measurement is used for all jumpsuits and pants. It is derived by measuring from the crotch of the garment to the bottom of the pant leg.
